A PROSTATE CANCER CONFERENCE FOR PATIENTS
A special prostate cancer symposium entitled " PSA ( People Seeking Answers ) in Prostate Cancer " is planned for the patients and their families. It will be held at the Westin Hotel, Renaissance Center in Detroit on September 12 & 13, 1997. This patient- focused event will be presented by nationally recognized medical authorities on prostate cancer discussing the pros and cons of all available treatment modalities and, What to do if treatment fails. There will be live prostate ultrasound and biopsy demonstrations and free PSA for the first 100 registrants. Separate break-out sessions, for wives only, will present distinguished speakers discussing the quality of life issues related to prostate cancer treatment and to osteopososis in women. This promises to be a unique, one-of -a-kind event that should not be missed.
Our annual "Ice Ball " dinner dance for the patients who already had cryosurgery at out institution will be held on Saturday night. Prospective patients and their families are also welcome. It will be a good occasion to meet the patients and share their experiences.
